Colourful Shared Boys Room

My boys, Boston and Everett, have been sharing a room for 4 years. And they have hated it since day one! They are currently 12 and 9.5 years old.

My inspiration for the room was an adorable white with black triangle sheet set I found at Home Sense. I knew it was perfect for the room, but I needed that pattern in a duvet and two of them. Surprising it was really hard to find!  After a few hours of product sourcing online, I found one on an international website. It wasn’t standard North American sizing, but luckily for me my good friend came over and used her serger and we cut down the duvet inserts from Ikea and made them shorter.

I did a recent refresh of their room and changed a few things, incorporating one of my collage sets I sell on Etsy. Both my boys are into basketball and I made sure to add some basketball touches around the room.

I hung some basketball metals with clear small command hooks. I am sure the wall will be fill with 100 more in the next few years.

When I first did their room, I went with a music theme. My oldest, loves Imagine Dragons. I picked a bunch of song lyrics from their music and made prints.
