Ikea Trofast Most Popular for Toy Storage
These labels are perfect for the Ikea Trofast system. Here are some tips and information about the Trofast to make ordering the right size easy.
Trofast Units
Ikea currently has 7 different units. The first two units pictured below, are the most popular with my customers. Keep in mind that the wall unit is shallow and houses bins half the depth of the other units. I have had 5 of the tall units for almost 8 years and they are still holding up! A few bins have cracked over time due to use but they are inexpensive to replace.
Trofast Bins
There are currently 4 different sizes for the plastic Trofast bins and they come in a variety of colours.. Depending on which unit you have above, the bins will either face the long side out or the short side out, so keep that in mind when figuring out the size of label you need.
The measurements on Ikea’s website will be larger than my measurements below because Ikea counts the lip as part of their measurements, but if you can provide me with which unit and which bin you have, I have all the measurements memorized!
Images
I am constantly updating my image chart and choosing your images is super easy by using a column/row number system and it makes the creative process on my end much faster. Simply pick from the images below and note the row and column number for each image. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just reach out as I do custom images as well.
Note If you are using fabric bins or want very small labels, I recommend choosing the simpler images as the more surface the vinyl has to stick to the better.
Colours
I offer a lot of colour options to ensure the labels fit with whatever your play area decor is. Black is the still the most popular choice, but I love seeing the colour schemes people have chosen.
Fonts
Another way you can customize your labels is by choosing a fun font or two. I might be a font-a-holic and offer too many choices for some people, but I say you can never enough choices!
Note Fonts 3-5 are only available as upper case. Font 11 is a mixed between upper and lower cases. The rest of the labels are available in both lower and uppercase.
