Vinyl Decal Application

Labels! I love to label all the things! So much satisfaction comes from knowing your organized and made things a little more pretty. Here is the best way to apply my labels.

Vinyl Application Instructions

  1. Clean the desired surface with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Allow to dry. If you have the Drona bins from Ikea, ignore this step.

  2. Using a credit card or ruler, firmly press it against the back of the decal and rub to ensure the decal sticks to the transfer tape (semi-transparent side).

  3. Carefully peel the paper backing away from the decal. If the decal doesn't release from the backing, lay the transfer tape back down and rub the decal again to get it to stick.
*If the weather is warm where you live, try putting your vinyl in the fridge for about 10 minutes. The decals don’t like to transfer off the backing when they are soft.

  4. Place decal sticky side down onto the desired surface.

  5. Once in place, use the credit card to smooth the decal out.

  6. Slowly pull the transfer tape away at a tight 45 degree angle. If the decal begins to peel with the transfer tape, stop and rub again with the credit card.

**If the vinyl is stuck on the backing, make sure to watch the video below where I share helpful tips.
