Vinyl Application Instructions

  1. Clean the desired surface with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Allow to dry. If you have the Drona bins from Ikea, ignore this step.

  2. Using a credit card or ruler, firmly press it against the back of the decal and rub to ensure the decal sticks to the transfer tape (semi-transparent side).

  3. Take your ruler and find the centre of your decal. Place a little mark at the top of the decal on the front. Find the centre of your bin. Using a removable marker, place a mark on the centre.

  4. Carefully peel the paper backing away from the decal. If the decal doesn't release from the backing, lay the transfer tape back down and rub the back of the decal again to get it to stick. If your house is warm, try putting the decal in the fridge to cool down first.

  5. Match up your centre marks. Place decal sticky side down onto the desired surface. Once in place, use the credit card to smooth the decal out, starting from the middle.

  6. Slowly pull the transfer tape away at a tight 45 degree angle. If the decal doesn't stick to the desired surface, stop and press down on the transfer tape over the stubborn vinyl. Smaller letters and designs typically need a little more pressure.
If the vinyl is being stubborn and you have the patience, you can leave the vinyl and transfer tape in place for 24 hours before removing the transfer tape. This extra time allows the vinyl to fully adhere to the surface for better results.

*If the vinyl/label doesn't have transfer tape on the front, peel like a sticker and apply to your desired surface.

Vinyl Care

  1. Decals are hand wash only. Please do not soak in water. Do not place in the dishwasher or in the microwave.

  2. Outdoor quality vinyl is rated as permanent, and is super durable but it can be removed if lifted, peeled back, or picked off.

  3. Removable vinyl is only used for wall decals and interior doors. Please do not apply decals to dirty or freshly painted walls.
