Trofast Storage Bin Designs
One of my top selling vinyl products on my Etsy shop, are the bin designs for the Trofast storage unit from Ikea. I thought this post would be a great place to give more details about this product! I receive a lot of question on Etsy and have limited room for extended details and pictures in the listings.
Listings - I have two different listings on ETSY and one on the website shop. Here is the link to the listing on my website. SHOP WEBSITE
The first ETSY listing is for the units where the bins face short side out.
The listing below is for the tall units where the bins faces the long side out.
Units - Ikea currently has 5 different units. The ‘short’ unit, the ‘stair’ unit, ‘wall’ unit and then two heights in the ‘tall’ unit. The first two units are the most popular. The wall unit is shallow. It houses bins half the depth of the other units. The last unit, I personally have in white. I have had 5 of them for almost 8 years and they are still holding up! A few bins cracker over time, but inexpensive to replace.
*On a side note - I have read reviews that the white units hold up better than the wood ones. From what I understand the bins tend to fall off the tracks of the wood ones, but not the white ones due to the different designs.
Bins - Ikea currently has 4 different sizes in various of colours for the plastic bins. Depending on which unit you have above, the bins will either face the long side out, or the short side out.
If you tell me the unit and which bin you have, I have all the measurements memorized!
Designs - The fun part! The designs below are for the 3 units that have the short side of the bins facing out.
Medium bins - The designs are drafted to the medium bins. Which are the most popular.
Small bins and XS bins - The designs will be smaller and/or you will receive less of the design pictured below. For example, if you order number 26, you would receive 8 hearts, sized smaller. If you order number 1, you will only receive 3 lines, vs 7. If you order number 7, you receive just one row.
Large bins - The designs will be larger and/or you will receive more of the design pictured below. Sadly due to shipping restrictions, I can not make designs 45-48 for the larger bins. These designs need to come as one piece to keep the correct spacing and patterns.

Colour - I have plenty of colours to choose from! Only one colour per order. If you want more than one colour, you will have to do separate orders.
How you will receive your order - Depending on what you order, you will receive designs with and/or without transfer tape. The designs without transfer tape are peel and stick and group tightly together. This allows you to be creative and apply the vinyl in any pattern you wish. For the designs with transfer tape, they need to be transfer as one piece to keep the layout/spacing together.
